About RecallRadar
RecallRadar answers one common, urgent question: is my car under recall? Is your car under recall? Look up NHTSA recalls, complaints and crash-test ratings by make, model and year.
What we do
We publish a recall, complaint and crash-test summary for about 52 of the most-searched US cars, trucks and SUVs across 15 makes, covering model years 2020-2024. Each model page lists its recall campaigns (with the component, summary and free remedy), its NHTSA owner-complaint count, and its NCAP crash-test stars where available. We also run a VIN check helper that sends you to the official NHTSA lookup, and a plain-English recall glossary.
How we work
Every figure comes from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) — the US government's vehicle-safety regulator — via its public, openly-licensed recalls, complaints and 5-Star Safety Ratings APIs. We capture a dated snapshot and show the source and date on every page. We never invent recall text or counts — a missing value is shown as a dash. See the methodology for the exact pipeline and limits.
Important: check your VIN
Our pages are a recall history for a model, not the status of your specific car. The only authoritative, real-time answer for your exact vehicle is the free NHTSA VIN lookup. We are an independent site and are not affiliated with NHTSA, the US government or any vehicle manufacturer, and we provide general information, not safety or legal advice.
